onward, onwards

Which should you use, onward or onwards? The adjective onward, meaning moving forward or continuing, is used before a noun. The adverb onwards means beginning at a particular time and continuing after it. Do not use onwards before a noun.

Incorrect: I am not referring to the onwards march of time.
Correct: I am not referring to the onward march of time.
