Conscience is a noun meaning “the part of you that makes you feel guilty when you do bad things”. Conscious is an adjective meaning “awake, aware of”.
| Incorrect: | I cannot in good conscious side with you on this issue. |
| Correct: | I cannot in good conscience side with you on this issue. |
| Incorrect: | I am conscience of my duty. |
| Correct: | I am conscious of my duty. |
