complement, compliment

Complement when used as a verb means “to combine well with something.” Compliment when used as a verb means “to praise someone”.

Incorrect:Remember that supplements can compliment your healthy eating and exercise habits.
Correct:Remember that supplements can complement your healthy eating and exercise habits.
Incorrect:They complemented her for the fine job she has done.
Correct:They complimented her for the fine job she has done.
