among, between
Among is used when something involves three or more persons or things. Between is used when something involves two (traditional use) or more persons or things.
| Incorrect: | Among the two of us, we can solve this problem. |
| Correct: | Between the two of us, we can solve this problem. |
| Correct: | There was always some tension among the three of us. |
| Correct: | There was always some tension between the three of us. |
