What’s wrong with this sentence?

“Her ten-year-old son he was trapped in rubble.”

A sentence with a double subject is ungrammatical. A double subject occurs when the subject of a sentence is immediately followed by a personal pronoun.

The quoted sentence has a double subject: her ten-year-old son he. To correct the sentence, remove the personal pronoun he.

Her ten-year-old son was trapped in rubble.
