Which should you use, weighed down by or weighed with? Be weighed down by something means to feel worried and unhappy because of something. Be weighed with something does not mean the same thing.

Correct: The infants were weighed with clothes on.
Incorrect: He was weighed with a heavy heart.
Correct: He was weighed down by a heavy heart.
