between you and I, between you and me

Which should you use, between you or I or between you and me? Between is a preposition and takes an object pronoun. Between you and me is grammatically correct because me is an object pronoun.

Correct: Something came between you and me.
Correct: This is between you and me.
Correct: That secret will stay between you and me.

Between you and I is grammatically incorrect because I is a subject pronoun. To correct the grammar error, change I to me.

Incorrect: Nothing will come between you and I.
Correct: Nothing will come between you and me.
Incorrect: Do you know the difference between you and I?
Correct: Do you know the difference between you and me?
Incorrect: What is happening between you and I?
Correct: What is happening between you and me?

Likewise, between you and he, between you and she, between you and we and between you and they are grammatically incorrect. Use between you and him, between you and her, between you and us and between you and them instead.
